Mother Tongue Necklace

The Mother Tongue Necklace is the calm (but nonetheless dramatic) star of the Tagua Mini Collection. Spotted, dyed Tagua seed bead is strung with Kiwi Jasper gemstone and a single black Onyx. She may be bold, but she does so with elegance. More 'boutique hotel balcony cigarette' than 'museum gift shop jewellery.' 

All the pieces in the Tagua Mini Collection come from the same strand of hard-sought reclaimed seed beads. Originating in South America, the seed also known as 'vegetable ivory' is now available on local shores in this collection through a year-long, careful search by Blonde Milk's founder, Aléz. The beads in the Tagua Mini Collection show signs of wear, marking the journey they took to find you.
