Returns and Refunds Policy

At Blonde Milk, every piece is handmade to order with care and intention. Because of this, refunds are generally not offered. However, we want you to love your jewellery and are committed to fair and lawful service under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

1. Made-to-Order and Custom Items

  • All jewellery is crafted specifically for each customer. Refunds are not available for custom or made-to-order items unless they are defective, damaged on arrival, or not as described.

  • We provide a lifetime restringing and repair guarantee: repairs are free within the first year, and thereafter are charged at cost (materials and shipping only).

2. Returns for Store Credit or Exchange

We’re happy to offer store credit or an exchange if:

  • The item is unworn, unused, and in its original condition.

  • The return is initiated within 14 days of delivery.

  • The item is returned with its original packaging.

3. Defective or Incorrect Items

If your piece arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, please contact us within 10 business days of delivery. We will cover all reasonable costs to replace or repair your order.

4. Exemptions (No Returns or Refunds)

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Jewellery that has been worn, exposed to water, sweat, or perfumes.

  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons), unless defective.

  • Gift cards or sale items marked “final sale”.

5. CPA Cooling-Off Period (Online Sales)

Under Section 44 of the CPA, South African customers purchasing online have a 7-day cooling-off period. You may cancel your order in writing within 7 days of receiving it for a full refund, less any direct return shipping costs.

6. Shipping Costs

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or incorrect.
